The data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website (nookrooms.com) is INCOGNITEPISODE LDA, registered at Rua José Saramago 5, 9A, 1675-180 Pontinha, Portugal, with tax/company number (NIF/NIPC) 517 961 466, operating under the Nook Rooms brand.

The Nook Rooms website is currently in a pre-launch “Coming Soon” stage, and only collects the data needed to run the launch waitlist:

• The email address you submit to join the waitlist.
• Your language preference (Portuguese or English), stored internally as LANGUAGE.
• Technical data that may be processed as necessary for website operation, security and anti-abuse measures (for example, detecting automated or spam requests).
• Aggregate website usage and performance data, collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics (see Service Providers below) — this does not identify you individually and does not use cookies or local storage.
• If you arrive via a tagged marketing link, campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign) and your landing page may be stored with your waitlist signup, to understand which channels lead to registrations.

We don’t collect any other personal information through this website at this stage — in particular, we don’t collect your name, phone number, address, age, or any room-application details, since those features don’t exist yet.

We use the waitlist data to:

• Manage the Nook Rooms launch waitlist.
• Confirm your email address through a double opt-in process.
• Let you know when Nook Rooms launches.
• Share initial room availability and closely related updates.
• Understand, in aggregate, which marketing channels and campaigns lead to waitlist registrations.

Joining the waitlist does not automatically sign you up to a general Nook Rooms newsletter — that remains a separate, optional subscription.

We process waitlist data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the signup form.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To withdraw your consent, contact us at hello@nookrooms.com or use the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

After you submit the waitlist form, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You only become a confirmed waitlist subscriber once you confirm through that email — until then, your email address stays in a “pending” state and does not receive further launch communications.

To run the waitlist and the website, we rely on the following service providers, who process personal data on our behalf, in line with their role and applicable data-protection obligations:

• Brevo — contact/waitlist management, the double opt-in process, and sending related email communications.
• Netlify — website hosting and infrastructure, server-side processing, and the security/rate-limiting infrastructure used to prevent abuse.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — Cloudflare Web Analytics, used to understand aggregate website usage and performance. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not build an individual profile of visitors.

We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Waitlist data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed to the Nook Rooms waitlist and the purpose for which you gave consent remains relevant, or until you withdraw your consent — subject to any retention needed to comply with legal obligations or to demonstrate compliance with this Privacy Policy.

Under applicable data-protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request erasure of your data;
• Request restriction of processing;
• Request data portability;
• Object to processing, where applicable;
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

If you believe our processing of your personal data doesn’t comply with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we process, including server-side validation, honeypot protection against automated submissions, and rate-limiting on our hosting infrastructure. No system is completely secure, though, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Nook Rooms website and services evolve — for example, when features like room applications or a general newsletter launch. We recommend checking back here from time to time.
